Dr Lim graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2004 with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He was accepted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, United Kingdom in 2008. He was awarded the P Balasubramaniam Young Orthopaedic Investigator’s Award in 2012 for his translational research on autologous bone marrow stem cell transplantation for knee cartilage regeneration. Dr Lim was also awarded the NUS Leadership in Academic Medicine Mentoring Program Award in 2012. He was awarded the degree of Master of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2012. He proceeded to complete his training in Orthopaedic Surgery and was accepted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, United Kingdom in 2014. Dr Lim undertook clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction and sports surgery at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospital Trust, NHS in 2015 under Professor Andrew Price and Professor David Murray. There, he gained proficiency in sports surgeries, hip arthroscopy, uni-compartmental knee replacement, complex hip and knee replacement. Thereafter, Dr Lim also completed a twelve months clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Stanford University, California, United States of America in 2016 under Professor Stuart Goodman and Professor William Maloney. Dr Lim was involved in the management of complex primary and revision hip and knee surgeries as well as sports surgeries.
